Couple appears in court charged with the rape and sexual assault of a child

A MAN and a woman have appeared in court after being charged with the rape of a young child.

Sarah Gotham, 33, appeared alongside Craig Forbes, 35, where they were accused of four joint counts of sexual assault against the same youngster.

Craig Forbes appeared alongside Gotham and denied the charges

Gotham is alone charged with two further counts of sexual assault.
The pair both denied the charges against them when they appeared at Plymouth Crown Court today for a short hearing.
The offences allegedly took place between December 1, 2012 and March 1, 2013.
