The people's democratic party (PDP) have called on Apc to leave Ekweremmadu alone, after they threatened to remove him.
The PDP on Thursday, January 12, urged the APC to leave Ekweremadu alone and face its problem in the National Assembly.
The New Telegraph reports that the national vice chairman of the party, Chief Austin, in a statement in Abakaliki said no amount of conspiracy against the deputy Senate president can stand.
Austin vowed that PDP will protect Ekweremadu.
He attributed the internal crisis rocking the APC Senate caucus to the ouster of the former majority leader, Senator Ali Ndume.
The party called on the APC to stop issuing threats and making overtures to Ekweremadu.
